I recently had the pleasure of staying at Secrets Moxché Playa del Carmen in the Preferred Club, and overall, it was a luxurious and memorable experience. Here’s my honest review:
Pros:
Stunning and Modern Design
Secrets Moxché is a visually striking resort with a sleek, modern design. The architecture, lush landscaping, and beautifully designed common areas give the resort a high-end, sophisticated feel from the moment you arrive.
Preferred Club Rooftop Experience (Pool & Breakfast)
One of the biggest highlights of the Preferred Club is access to the rooftop infinity pool, which offers stunning views and a more relaxed, elevated atmosphere compared to the main pool areas. The rooftop breakfast was also amazing…delicious food, great variety, and a peaceful setting that made it the perfect way to start each day.
Spacious and Stylish Rooms
Our Preferred Club room was spacious, modern, and very well maintained. The décor was sleek and comfortable, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the minibar was stocked daily. The bathroom was luxurious, with a rainfall shower that added to the overall experience.
Exceptional Service
The service throughout the resort was generally excellent. Staff members were friendly, attentive, and accommodating, especially within the Preferred Club areas. The concierge was helpful with general requests and information.
Variety of Dining Options
Secrets Moxché offers a wide range of à la carte dining options with international cuisine. The food quality was good overall, with some standout meals. While Preferred Club status did not eliminate wait times, we found that arriving around 6:00 PM significantly reduced waiting, compared to later in the evening.
Adults-Only Atmosphere
As an adults-only resort, the vibe was calm, upscale, and romantic. It’s well-suited for couples or travelers looking for a peaceful getaway.
Cons:
Dining Wait Times
Restaurants can get busy, especially between 7:00–9:00 PM. Even with Preferred Club access, wait times can be noticeable, so arriving right when restaurants open (around 6:00 PM) helps avoid long waits.
Smaller Beach Area
While the beach is clean and well maintained, it is smaller than what some travelers might expect. It’s still enjoyable, but not the main highlight of the resort.

Secrets Moxché Playa del Carmen offers a stylish, adults-only luxury experience with beautiful design, comfortable accommodations, and excellent amenities. The Preferred Club rooftop infinity pool and outstanding rooftop breakfast are major highlights, and planning dinner times strategically helps improve the dining experience.
